Computer Guided Quilting
Enhanced Quilting offers edge-to-edge quilting (E2E) using our state of the art computerized Innova Longarm machine with Mach 3 and Lightning Stitch Regulator. Pricing is determined by the density of the quilting pattern chosen and how much customization is required. A basic overall design done edge-to-edge over the entire quilt would be priced at 2 cents (or $0.02) per square inch. This type of quilting can take anywhere from 3-6 hours per quilt. Designs that are denser and more time-consuming start at a slightly higher price point. The minimum charge is $40 for any service.

To calculate the quilting charge, multiply the length by the width of your quilt top. Then multiply by the amount charged for the service you have selected.

Example: Quilt size: 75” x 85”     Rate of service chosen $0.02

75 x 85= 6375 inches    6375 inches X $0.02 = $127.50

Charge for services would be $127.50

Our Longarm machine can accommodate quilts up to 130″ wide and 130″ long.

Backing
I ask that your backing be at least 6″ wider than the quilt top on all four sides. This is absolutely necessary to allow for room to attach the backing to the quilt frame.

I ask that you iron out all creases and folds, otherwise a $10 ironing charge will apply.

If you request your backing to be pieced, a $10 charge per seam will apply.
Additionally, the $10 charge for ironing backing will apply.

If your backing is not wide enough,(at least 6″ wider than the quilt top on all four sides), we can add a muslin strip will be added to the backing at a cost of $15 per seam
or return it to you to correct the issue. We also ask that you square the edges of the backing to ensure that it can be attached to the frame as straight as possible.

If you have to piece your backing, the preferred way to piece it is having the seam run horizontally. Horizontally pieced backings insure a better quality quilting.

Binding
Upon request Enhanced Quilting will make and sew binding at the rate of $0.30 per inch for machine sewn.
Applying pre-made binding at $0.25 per inch. Hand sewn binding will be by consultation. Customer will provide material for binding.

Thread
Enhanced Quilting offers several brands of thread for you to choose from. Glide, Omni and Signature can add that special look and feel you are trying to create for your quilt.

Batting
I believe in using a good quality batting and recommend natural fibers such as wool or wool blends, cotton or cotton blends, bamboo, or silk for superior performance. When choosing batting, consider the quilts purpose. Also, look for how the batting drapes, the softness, the weight of the batting and its loft. Dream and Warm & Natural are brand which produce excellent results.

Quilt Top
Make sure that all seams are securely sewn. It is recommended that you “stay stitch” the outside edge of your quilt 1/8″ away from the edge. This step is not necessary if you have a solid border as the outer-most edge of the quilt. Iron the quilt top to ensure that there are no pleats at the seams at avoid the $10 ironing charge.

Basting
For those quilters who quilt using domestic machines and want to quilt larger pieces we offer our basting service at the rate of 1 cent (or $0.01) per square inch. Basting stabilizes your quilt sandwich preventing shifting while you quilt your designs.
